What was all the fuss about ? all that rubbish on how amazing he was, he isn't. Don't get me wrong he is well above the premiership average but he isn't international quality yet. I doubt he'll be going to japan, beckham, gerrard, dyer, scholes, butt, lampard, barmby, mcmanaman, bowyer, murphy and anderton are all proven players at that level or are performing better at premiership level. Maybe germany 2006 even portugal 2004 but he isn't ready/good enough yet.
