Has anyone here ever done yoga? I'm going to a class next week and to be honest I hardly know anything about it!
Is it as physically demanding as say a workout at the gym or whatever?
Any advice / horror stories (?!) would be gratefully recieved!

I have done it before for a while *reputation in tatters* but it wasn't really my thing. I didn't find anywhere near as exhausting as one of my gym sessions (where you crawl out because your legs are too tired to walk on). But there is still a certain amount of physical demand. Although it focuses more on flexibility than strength or endurance.

I kept laughing.
I can't even touch my toes mind you, so maybe yoga isn't my 'thing'

ive just started a course which is a mixture of yoga, pilates and tai chi.
its meant to improve your core stability or something like that, tone your muscles and improve your flexibility.
if you concentrate on the moves youre doing it can be quite tiring in that your muscles ache but you dont actually become out of breath!

I do yoga sometimes and find it quite good, plus it hurts less than going to the gym! It depends what type you do though.
