I may go to Spain for a month or two, maybe three or four... I would like to work out there on the coastal side of things. Has anyone worked out there? Were the Spanish open and friendly to you? How did you do with accommodation/wages?

And yes - I have read the Travel pages.

Thanks

I worked in a hotel a few years ago. The Spanish people were really nice, the men were gorgeous, the drinks were dirt cheap (free in fact since I worked behind the bar <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> ) the weed was the best I have ever had, and I lived in the staff accommodation. Have fun.

Being a Spanish student - if you're really really interested about learning the language then go as far away from the tourists as possible - the English ones. However, that doesn't mean you have to go out in the sticks. The best place to go in Spain is Salamanca - the main university town of Spain. 200.000 students during term time. Plus the fact that in the south they speak dreadful Spanish - the miss of the endings to words and speak with a horrible accent. In the north (where Salamanca is), the pronouce correctly and speak the beautiful language how it's meant to be spoken. Stay clear from Malaga, Marbella, etc. Go to the really nice places in Spain - the north.
