How about popping down to a travel agent?

Try these: http://www.parisian-hotels.com/ http://www.parishotels.demon.co.uk/ http://www.hotels-paris.co.uk/

Hi Kentish,
Thank you very much for your reply.
The problem with Travel Agent in Malaysia is they try to package everything as one deal whereby the flight ticket also must be bought from them. In my case my wife is working in the airlines and she gets staff rates which is much cheaper. Thats why I need to arrange for the accomadation on my own. By the way I would appreciate if someone can also list out the interesting places to visit in Paris and Zurich specially for a newly married couple.

Regards

Right, Zurich, I can talk about this fairly easily.

Whaddya want to know? I can't help all that much with hotels, although I could quite easily collect any information you require.

Sightseeing, in and around the city:

A walk around the old town (D: Altstadt) with plenty of stops for coffee and window shopping at the various boutiques, plus a lot of the architecture is very pretty.

A cruise on the lake. Any time between May and November, good value for money, a dinner cruise in the evening is incredibly romantic as well. Defintely worth a check out.

Uetliberg. A hill very close to Zurich, take a train up and then a wander around the top. Pick the right day and you can see for miles, plus the restaurant at the top is adorable.

Train rides. Depening on how long you're staying, there are various train rides all around the country, with amazing vistas. Mountains and trains to check out include the Jungfraujoch (in the Berner Oberland area), Rigi and Pilatus, either side of Luzern, the whole Vierwaldstättersee area, and Titlis and Engelberg. All these are within a few hours of Zürich and make glorious day trips.

Hope this helps, any other questions, just ask.
