Not sure whether this should be in "Student" or "Action". Today I am taking part in an anti-tuition fees protest. We will be marching from Liverpool University into the city centre at about 1pm. Most of the political societies will be getting involved. I know the SWSS and Conservatives are taking part. Will Labour dare to show thier faces?

Good luck.
I'll be there in spirit if not in body.

Well i don't pay them. If it was a grants not loans march i'd join you! I guess if i was required to pay fees it would mean my parents would actually have money which would be a good thing!

Well, the march was quite good, apart from the weather (my banner turned to mush in the rain). The only trouble was a few people with an alternative agenda. There were some anti-war guys handing out leaflets (What! get to f**k!) and two of my tory buddies were shouting "Free Jeffrey Archer" (I'm not with these people.) And a speaker from the TUC was comparing the University situation to the railways (I don't get it.)
We also had a heckler. There was some guy shouting at the protestors saying we were tax dodgers or something like that. (wierdo)
In the evening, there was an event at Cream for the protestors. Now I had never been before, and I don't want to go again. I have seen some incompetent bouncers before, but these guys were useless! Firstly, when we arrived, they didn't know if they were open or not (this was 9:30, the event was supposed to start at 9pm), then they said they didn't have the guest list (My fellow CF mambers and I had been put on the guest list by party member Steve Fitzsimmons) then they said they didn't know who Steve Fitzsimmons was (he is the liscensee, so they bloody well ought to know who he is!).
