Halls of residence nightmare

I'm a female at Staffordshire university, and for those of you that don't know, the university is 90% male, 10% female. Now, this is great for pulling, but not so good for meeting female friends. On my floor, there's me, another girl and 5 blokes. The girl is really strange and none of us get on with her so she keeps out of our way. The guys are good craic (fun) but all they seem to talk about is shitting, wanking, porn, and the lack of girls! The lack of female company and general girlie conversation is really starting to get to me. I'm missing my friends from home more than ever!
Seriously, i've never had a problem meeting people b4 but there is just no-where to meet girls! The boys have it tough as far as pulling is concerned but i'd rather the tables were turned anyday!
i find myself phoning home more, but at the same time i want to be independant.
Anyone else been in this situation?
How did you meet new people?

Well, since i last posted this complaint about my Halls, i've moved into other halls! Much happier, its an all girls floor, so i don't have to listen to the boys corrupting my innocent ears with talk of wanking and porn etc! The girls are all sound and i feel much more settled! In response to "why didn't you think about the ratio b4 accepting the offer" I knew absolutly nothing about the university, only that it done the course i wanted... that'll teach me!!

yeesh! and 2 think i nearly applied 2 that uni! that is NOT a good ratio. in my uni i think there are very slightly (like only 1 or 2%) more gals than guys, and my course is exactly 50/50. happily tho, the trend is 4 more girls and less boys 2 go 2 uni, so they're talking bout a 60/40 ratio in the next few years <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"> <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"> <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"> which will b nice!

I'm doing a human bio join degree and in my lectures there are only 5 girls! i am lucky coz i get on much better with lads than girls. I have a great time coz they fuss round me like big brothers and always check that i am ok.
Saying that im not sure my boyfriend likes the ratio of boys:girls but he just has to trust me
