Chatroom tales?

We've had a call from a journo called Philippa May who is writing a feature for a "family magazine" on teenagers and their experiences of chat rooms. She wants to talk to a teenage boy (and his parent) who uses chat rooms and who has had a dodgy experience of some kind.

She is not looking for anything sensational or dramatic, simply an experience that can serve as a warning of the potential dangers - "it could be someone coming on very strong very fast, pressing for a meeting, masquerading as someone they're not...."

Ummm...no offence meant GFM, but I think that's the idea. Girls seem to be the ones that a get a lot of attention about this sort of thing, and as a result the guys are somewhat careless about it. But it still happens, and I think this is s'posed to be a warning to all the guys out there (and their parents) that there are creeps out there that are on the prowl for guys as well as gals.

She is writing two case stories but already has talked to a girl. Hence the need for a boy, and some balance.

Id just like to add that guy who was freakin emma out well being the nice friend i am i msged him n got his pic off him and then sent it on to her so she knew who it was <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">

Im such a good friend unfortunately he thinks im really nice now and keeps wanting to talk to me!!
