yeah i think anne robinson's well nasty.. youd think shed be a bit nice, they are on tv on a gameshow anyway and then she goes and tries to embarrass them! chris tarrant's a lot nicer on millionaire. not a big tarrant fan but compared to anne robinson...!

It's the style of the show, and it's in her script to be nasty. They have obviously asked her to be rude to the contestants. She and the 'walk of shame' give the show some character. It's probably so that the BBC can't be accused of trying to do another Millionaire to get ratings. I hate the show myself and have only watched it once. I'm convinced the nastiness is put on - otherwise the contestants would look shocked, and they don't.

One of my friends was on the weakest link and he said that Anne wished them luck before filming and then said that was going to be the last time before the end of the show that she could be nice to them! Also he said that any overly smart comments said back to her were cut out so they didn't make her look like a bit of a fool! He also recons that once she stops presenting it that they're gonna show some of the clips of people making smart comments back to her! :thumb:
