Hello,
I'm bored at work. Try this if you want (Dirty Harry just ignore if you'd rather):
What is your favourite song and why?
Here's mine if anyone's interested:
Moby-morcheaba. I love this track because it is mellow and reminds me of the best bits of summer, feeling free and inspired. And it is quite different to most of the tracks out there at the moment.
Nicola.

I love that Aerosmith song from Armageddon. How can such a cool song come from such a shitty film?

top three songs of all time are as follows:
NINE INCH NAILS - HEAD LIKE A HOLE
KILLER - ADAMSKI
SUPPERS READY - GENESIS (listen to it all 24 minutes, what a great story)
while we are on top threes, how about top three books?
LORD OF THE RINGS
AMERICAN PSYCHO
THE CROW ROAD
any takers?

American Psycho was a very good book, the ending was a little weird, and generally a very gruesome book, but good. I'm now reading a book called Asylums by Ervin Goffman, really interesting so far.

At the moment I am really into Offspring with their album Americana. I think this is one of the best albums ever written-every song on it is great! (which, lets face it, is quite rare)
Foo Fighter's Learn to fly was sweet and the video was hella funny
Lastly either Cypress Hill or Moby get my vote. If I wanna relax I listen to moby's Natural Blue's or Woman and if I wanna jam I listen to Cypress Hill (you can't get the best of me is great)
Anyone know any similar kool rock bands (not obvious ones like Nirvana or stuff like that cos I already know) would be appreciated adn I will run out and buy them straight away
Cheers

if you want to try some good stuff that kinda the same, try the following:
Mudhoney; one of the least known of the grunge movement but one of the best
Janes addiction; so cool they burn!!
red hot Chilli Peppers; see why the all saints crucified under the brdge, and why give it away is one of the best songs of all time.
Sonic youth; great lyrics, really angry music
Rage Against the machine; forget limp bizkit et al, this is where the rock rap crossover is the best, try their first album, it rocks!!
Pearl Jam; ten and VS are their best albums, they got up their own arses after that
Mother Love Bone; a band sadly killed off by their lead singer committing suicide. a big influence on nirvana
Killing Joke, Cop shhot cop, Skinny Puppy, minisry; good hard industrial music; showed marylin Manosn what to do.
try these, you should find something youll like, or if you want to try a bit of each, i reccomed the soundtracks to Singles, Lost higway, Judgment Day and Spawn; theyll givce you a good idea.
anybody disagree?
( notice all the stuff comes fromt ehearly 90's? the best itme for music ever?)

3.BORN A GIRL by the manics.
4.LA TRISTESSE DUERRA by the manics.
5.WILLOW by JJ72.

Hi
My favourite song changes all the time. But there is one that particularly gets me going and that has to be "Phenomenon" by LL Cool J. If there's anyone out there who loves LL or action movies - e-me at my address. Anyone's welcome.

I hope you are referring to the Chilli's Version not some scabby cover by All Saints.
I must also add to Strong Enough Unforgivable Sinner by Lene Marlin as a favourite, for such a young person, she writes about a lot of pain (but I guess it's raking the money in can afford the therapy... :P lol)
Cheers All

Mine would have to be Michelle Shocked's My Little Sister. Or Gladewater
Unless it was something by Joan Armatrading Drop the Pilot, or Love and Affection, or even Call Me Names.
Steeleye Span with Black Freighter, Alison Gross, Sails of Silver (& half a dozen more) keep coming back for attention
If I was feeling nostalgic, I'd go with Tanita Tikaram's Twist in My Sobriety
Miranda Sex Garden - Iris
I quite enjoyed Slim Shady by Eminem
Jesus' Blood `by' Tom Watts is just the thing when you're feeling really down.
If Shout! ever comes on when I'm driving make sure you've got your seatbelt on and all your packages are secure.
All time fave? Can't be done.
