I recently lost my job, due to something i thought was just out of order!
I worked at the local bakery, when one day while i was cleaning up some1 had left...skits at the bottom of the toilet!I flushedit but there was still stains there(yuech)! So when my boss gave me a bit of tissue i laughed!She said she wasn't joking1She wanted me to put my bare hand down the toilet and clean this off the bottom of the pan!I asked for gloves she told me not to be silly it wouldnt kill me! I got up and told her to do it herself, it wasn't my problem!!! Was i right in doing that! Do u think i should of jist done as i was asked or is that just out of order!!

You can't be made to clean a toilet like that IMO - she sounds like a bit of a bitch. But you shouldn't have spoken to her like that, it's always going to piss them off, it's like asking to lose your job. I'd just refuse and say I wanted some gloves, and stick to that. Oh well.

Mind you, I think I'd tell someone to piss off if they told me to clean shit up with my bare hands. And they can't really fire you for something like that (unless you've got no contract or a really shit <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"> one). Sounds like you're better off without that job anyway.

She couldn't make you do that anyway, its a definite breach of health and safety. But unless you have proof you cant do anything about it now.

i would have probably done the same if i was in the situation, they cant make you do that surely! but you prob shouldnt have spoken to her like that... although i probably would have done too!
