What happened is NOT YOUR FAULT!!!

Do not blame yourself!! No one has the right to rape someone. You thought you were getting into a taxi--how could you have known?

Go and tell someone you trust what happened. Even if they cannot help bring the man that raped you to justice, they can help you deal with the experience. As long as you remain silent, you remain a victim. Please, please, do not let yourself be victimized. If you cannot talk to your parents, talk to your GP, and go get counselling. An incident like this will have many repercussions in your life, both emotionally and physically. The sooner you can talk to someone about it, and hopefully talk to a counsellor, the sooner you can feel better about yourself.

Anytime you need to talk, we're here.

Good luck dear.

You've got to tell somone!! What if he does the same thing to someone else like you?! If you don't want that to happen then you should tell someone... it definately wasn't your fault!!

You are definitely not the only person this has happened to. London police have worryingly high statistics for this exact crime (and it is a crime - rape - sex under duress even without actual violence is still rape if you felt threatened into it).

Police in London estimate that half of the so-called mini-cab drivers who approach people at night in London neither are nor have been cabbies, ever. Some are just looking to make a quick few quid, others have more worrying motives.

What happened to you is said to be happening EVERY WEEKEND because 99% of the girls it happens to never report it or give the police any way to catch these bastards.

So at the least, get some counselling. I'm sure there'll be some helpful details on TheSite somewhere. If you can, report it to the police, help prevent this happening to yet another person next weekend, as you wish the person it happened to the week before had acted to prevent it happening to you.

Above all, it was NOT your fault, and you are NOT alone.

And a warning note to all out there - never get into any stranger's car unless you know beyond doubt that it really is a cab - i.e. black cab, or otherwise clearly and permenantly marked as a Taxi.

Go to the police.

If you remember anything about the man, his car, the numberplate then it will be useful for the police and may prevent him from dooing it again.
The police will give you support and find you someone to talk to.

They may even have the man in the frame for other offences and your experience will help them.

It's not your fault.
