Pill and pregancy?

I don't know if anyone can answer this but if you get pregnant and still take the pill can it hurt your baby?????

Say that you missed a day and had unprotected sex but carried on unaware you were pregnant??

My friend was on the pill and found out she was pregnant due to her missing one or two. She had been taking the pill for quite a while when she would have been pregnant and she has had a healthy baby. That dont mean anything though because everyone is different.
Im not sure how it could affect the baby but it must cause some problem in some cases as they tell u to stop it asap if u r pregnant.
