Smoking on the Pill

ok help me out here whats the risk about smoking when on the pill. i heard about bubbles in the hed and shit.
This is important pleze help me out.

Yeah, some people will survive, but it's really not a good idea. There may be some history of thrombosis in your family that you dont know about, which increases the risk even more. The doctor's wouldnt ask if it wasnt important, it's really not worth the risk.

It's really hard to tell, because there are so many different types of the pill - if you hare honest with your doctor and give a complete medical history, s/he should be able to give you the right advice.

Don't just ditch the pill though - there is a higher chance of DVT if you get pregnant!! If you're worried go back to your GP or a family planning place.

I'm on the pill and smoke, but my doctor says that my blood pressure is too low even though both smoking and taking the pill raise you blood presssure.
Also, my mum, aunty and their mum all suffered with thrombosis when they were on the pill and were eventually considered unsuitable to take it, I have been on the pill for 4 years and have never had any problems.
