worry, worry, worry, help...

hi everyone,
me and my g/f have been having a sexual relationship for some months now, probably best part of a year.
The thing is im really worried about her getting pregnant.
She has been on the pill since before i met her, used to be Leostrin now its cilest as the other wasn't working well missed periods BIG worry for me etc
anyway she hasnt missed any "pill periods" since shes been on cilest. sign its working fine?????
In the past we've always used a condom aswell, extra safe and others.
(extra safe? silly idea really isnt it? the sperm either stays inside the condom in which case why bother killing it with spermicide or it splits and spermicide wouldnt do much anyway)
recently however we have stopped using the condom every time and now im worried about pregnancy. Shes still on the pill and takes it similar time every day between 6 and 7pm so have I any need to be worried?
weve spent loads on pregnancy tests in the past all negative. Shes not worried but i feel more responsible than her. I definately DONT want a baby.
without avoiding sex what can I do?
can a pregnancy test be used without waiting for a missed or late period? should I just stop worrying bout it?
Its doing my head in I really cant do with the thought that shes pregnant.lots of questions,

thers about 2 weeks till shes due on so more worry til then.... I presume if she does bleed in her pill free week then its a sign that I can be sure 1000% shes not pregnant

Easiest solution would be to use condoms or other contraceptives (ie. coil/female condom)

You, sorry, women can have pregnancy tests at any stage but its not necessarily going to show that fast, not sure on what the timing is for them but someone else here will be able to clear, no problem.. <IMG alt="image" SRC="smile.gif" border="0">

Chill, im on Loestrin, and as long as your girlfriend takes it roughly the same time each day she should be fine. If she vomits or gets diorreoh or is on antibiotics then you should use condoms for a few days, but as long as the pill is taken correctly its 99% effective

yeah as I say shes on Cilest not Leostrin anymore, she hasnt had any sickness or anything. She IS on antibiotics long term however shs been informed by her doctor they have no affect on the pill.
still concerned.
i presume if we didnt have sex for a week then did a preg test then it would be accurate as shes unlikely to get pregnant fro sex a week ago true? <IMG alt="image" SRC="rolleyes.gif" border="0">

doesnt all this worry put a strain on ur reltionship? cos if i was as worried as u sound i think i just wudnt hav sex at all! im a girl and on the pill and me and bf hav had sex a couple of times without a condom and yeah i worried at first but im responsible in takin the pill and havent been ill so im over worryin! the idea of the pill is to be able to hav sex without usin condoms (aslong as u both no ur not at risk from std's) - not to worry everytime u do!
if it really stresses u out just keep usin condoms or stop havin sex!!

keep using concoms, if u r that scared of her getting pregnant then u will not enjoy having sex without this big black cloud hanging over u.
also u may not think she si that bothered but trust me, goin out and buying a pregnancy test is not exactly easy.

so what should I do till she comes on this month. a week on wednesday she takes her last cilest then 7 day break. for the last many months shes come on on the saturday or early sunday of that weekend following the wednesday she takes last pill. So not this saturday coming up the saturday after.
Do I have any real cause for concern? I mean as you said, the whole idea of the pill is to be protected almost 100% without worrying bout condoms.
Deep down Im thinking logical but my luck is shite and I know the 0.1% or whatever probably has my name on it.
Then again thats just silly.

If the contraceptive pill is taken according to the instructions in the packet it is very effective.

shes taken the pill, cilest every day and at the same time, well within and hour. Shes on antibiotics but the doctor says they have no effect on the pill.
WE did a pregnancy test thursday morning, it was negative we had intercourse previous sunday but used a condom.
Her pill free week starts from next wednesday thats her last pill she comes on from the saturday 3 days after the last pill.
Since we arnt going to have sex till after shes been on and we did a preg test a week before shes due on and it was negative I presume I was over reacting worrying so much?
have some faith in the marvel of modern pills??
