Hiya

First off, sorry to hear of your loss, losing someone that close must be really hard.

Have you received any from of counselling or talking therapy since last year? It might be useful for you, keeping these feelings bottled up isn't great for you... and it might help you come to terms with your grief. Your GP should be able to put you in touch with someone who will be able to help. I would definitely recommend a visit to them... they can point you in the right direction and also help you with any other options available to you.

Are others around you supporting you? Do your friends know what happened? And do they know how hard you're finding it now? If you have a good friend you can open up to, then they will be able to support you through this difficult time. Even if you don't want to talk about it with them, telling them will make sure they're understanding and they might be able to help keep you busy at especially difficult times.

All the best, take care.

Hi sadlassy09,

Welcome to the site and thanks for feeling that you could bring your thoughts and feelings here, we hope that you find the comfort and advice to help you get through the difficult and emotional time that you are going through at the moment.

Bereavement is a really difficult thing to go through especially when it is someone close like a parent. how are you feeling about it all?
Closer to home is there anyone you can talk to like a teacher or a youthworker?
Like purlefish has suggested counselling (http://www.thesite.org/healthandwellbeing/mentalhealth/treatments) maybe an option for you and can offer a confidential outlet to explore your feelings.

Have a look around the site, there are many articles on counselling, self harm and bereavement which may help your understanding of what your going through.

please feel free to post whenever you need to and let us know how you are getting on:wave:
