Is it possible to get custom made jeans at an affordable price? I live an hour away from the nearest city which i assume is the kind of place i'd have to go to? Whenever I get jeans to fit me, they then fall down my hips(wether they started tight or loose) and I get a horrible muffin top which i dont have when i pull them back up (hoik hoik). Makes me really paranoid, so unfair its a mum tum 5 years on, dont hate it enough to risk surgery going wrong but hate it enough to feel crap about it daily!
ETA: Im wide hipped and curvy so its not even that they fall down small hips!!!
How crafty are you? It's really not that hard to sew your own jeans, if you've any sewing experience. And because people think it's harder than it is, seamstresses can charge extortionate amounts.
Only problem is that the choice of denim is limited to what you can find, and you generally have to stick to one-colour jeans, cause stonewashing is a factory process.
Something else you could consider is buying jeans from a shop and then having them taken in to fit. Alterations will be LOADS cheaper that having the garment constructed from scratch :)
On holiday in India I saw a shop that specialised in making custom jeans and denim clothing. However regular tailors wouldn't touch denim cos it was too tough to sew easily.
