Im thinking of having the implant, Im wondering what fertility is like afterwards?

Im on cerazette so Im *hoping* that I'll get on with the implant cos its the same hormone but a little bit less then the mini pill.

Does it hurt alot? I've got the frame of mind that if I've had a baby then I can go through any pain!;)

According to the nurse who did mine, it is the most effective contraception, about as effective as sterilisation but your fertility returns as soon as you have it out.

It does hurt, and mine was bruised for about a week but it's bearable. What hurt most actually was the dressing kind of tugging on the wound.

I agree - I had an allergic reaction to the tape stuff on the dressing which didn't help either!

I didnt get on with cerazzette at all but I've been pretty much fine on the implant. It is supposed to be very good for long term contraception.

I couldnt feel a thing when I had it inserted. I did bruise quite a bit and swelled up really badly for a couple of days. I still have a faint scar from the needle though.
