Hey, I'm determined to get into this and have been for a couple of weeks. I'm not lazy but am stuck with what I'm doing. Main problem is I dont know how much to lift.
I've read we're meant to give each muscle the same. So biceps I've been doing three sets, 10kg, 15kg then 17.5k. Think thats right for me cus its a challenge at the end but can just about do it. However when I try to lift the same with the triceps, I cant do it. I'll either finish early or just lift lighter weights.
Then theres the bench press for the chest, where I find the above weights too easy. And I feel it more in my arms than my chest, is this normal?
Would appreciate any help.
Going abroad in June and I dont expect big results by then but figured I'd get started and see what I can do.:)

I wouldn't worry about being able to do more with your biceps than your triceps. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses and if you want to even them out then you can always just put in a bit more work on your triceps.

As for how heavy you should be lifting it depends on what you want to achieve really. If your trying to bulk up then you want to be doing heavy weights on lower reps (around 6-8) where as if you want to get more definition then you should be doing slightly less heavy weights and reps of around 12-15.
