Is there actually a good way to sell them? ie amazon/ebay etc?
I'm in needs of making some extra cash and it'd be a good way of clearing ALOT of space for when I move house next month :nervous: Do people actually want second hand books?
Answers on a post card :)

Sell them in bulk on eBay .....
i.e a job lot of say 20 at a time.
Or, if they're learning materials, Amazon marketplace them

I've sold loads on Amazon. Most are worth it, but I had some old textbooks that are too old and no one wants, so they got recycled.
Most charity shops will take books, but if you want money, try putting them on Amazon or ebay first.

You've only seen me once in the 3 years since I moved to Manchester (and that was only because I was out in Durham), its not like you're going to miss me!

Books tend to do better on amazon than ebay, especially any educational stuff - my revision guides usually go in hours! Don't expect any feedback though.

I always get second hand books from charity shops and pretty much always choose the used books on amazon :)
I often go to the odd cafe where they have a book shelf where you bring a book along when you have finished reading it, and take another one off the shelf, read some right treats!

I love buying second hand books, they're soo much cheaper. When we wanted to sell a load we went to a second hand bookshop in town and sold them boxes and boxes of books, didn't really get much for them think it was about £50 for the 10 boxes but all the same it cleared the space and that was the main thing. Could be good to ring around second hand shops in your area and see if any of them would buy them, its much easier than listing them all individually on amazon an doesn't involve the hassle of having to post anything....
