My phone can be upgraded this month - I have a contract with Orange and they've given me a bundle of phones to look at. I hate my phone - it's Samsung Z400 and it's scratched up and looks horrible.
A few in the selection have stood out and wondered what people could say about them because I am not in the phone-know how at the moment! I am a texting fiend so as long as I can text easily enough I'm fairly content! I've read so many conflicting reviews...thought I'd ask other people!

Have LG phones improved yet?! There's the LG Prada and LG shine models available.
Otherwise Samsungs : U600, G600
MOTOKRZR K1

I'm bias towards the LG's - there are some nokia's which have always been pretty dependable but I don't find them aesthetically pleasing!

Thanks for any info if you own the phone etc... :)

LG's by all accounts are horrible to use. I've heard of a lot of people swapping the Samsungs because they have annoying touch sensitive keys and they constantly accidentally pressed things. Motorola's are apparently totally style over substance (and even then, they were stylish a couple of years ago).

I think the obvious one you've missed is the Sony Ericsson W880i. It's small, good looking, decent features, and I haven't heard a bad word said against it in terms of using it.

Eww - motorola. Mum got a Motorola C117 a couple of years ago...what a heap of crap. I told her to get a Nokia 1100 like what i have, but she ended up with the shit C117, and now she regrets it! Its butt ugly for starters, and it has a confusing and difficult to use interface.

The higher end Motos might be nice, but their lower end phones are shocking. :-/
