Sky Box

My dad (well actually me after pursuading him) has just signed us up with the sky see speak surf offer (minus the speak) but he said for several reasons we cant currently get the sky+ box so we got the free standard one.

I was wondering though, its £99 from sky, is it possible to buy one elsewhere and use that?

if so, wheres the best place to get one?

if you posted about 2 months ago I'd have given you a recommend a friend thingy to quote so you could get the Sky+ Box for free - think now it's back to the £30 worth of M&S vouchers for both parties.

My aunt used the thing I quoted for her and she got her Sky+ for free + free installation.

Sweet, yeah it is £30 m n s vouchers now, i did that, just a shame i didnt order before it changed back to that, free + box would have been nice..

Damn straight they are haha.

My dads such a pain, he decided he actually DOES want the plus box now, so ive had to ring sky and get them to change the order.

The first guy said i couldnt do it without cancelling the whole order and starting again, waiting 30 days for broadband to cancel then start again (woahh no way!)

I rang again, got a totally different person and they said its fine, just that she sent it to the IT department to be sorted out, ill be getting a call in the next few days to reschedule the installation. Hopefully this shouldnt be too long :)
