Get your MP to support EDM 1885: Respect

So here I am, turning up on the Boards for like the first time in a year and what do i do?? - ask you for some help.

Yesterday Dawn Butler MP tabled an Early Day Motion supporting the campaign YouthNet has been working on for some time: Respect (http://www.youthnet.org/mediaandcampaigns/campaigns/respect).

EDM 1885:

"...acknowledges that only a small minority of young people are antisocial; believes that the media does not give young people enough recognition for the positive things they do; and urges Hon. Members to ensure young people's views are represented in public debate by creating opportunities for their input such as holding youth surgeries and visiting schools, colleges and universities"

We want as many MPs to sign up to the EDM as possible. Civic Service (new mayors enrollment): My Scouts (from aforesaid estate) acting as ushers for the various County Mayors, MP, Councillors etc. No where near the local news.

If you are interested in this why not look at the v regional volunteer post, BYC are campaigning for issues including this one. As a volunteer you are able to work in your local area to promote the issues and increase the number of signatures.
