View Full Version : Ever walked out of a film?
I'm With Stupid

Am I the only person that hasn't done this? I don't get it. I've watched some crap films in my time, but I've never felt the need to walk out (I've paid my money, I'm staying til the end of the credits :p). The other thing that always tickles me is people who write reviews online (usually from "outraged" parents), and mention "I walked out after 30 minutes." Well surely that pretty much discredits anything you have too say about the film?
So if you have, what was it and why?

Audition. I felt physically sick. That was a few years back though, I'm not as squeamish anymore.

Moulin Rouge.
Still didn't get out of watching it all the way through though when my ex took it upon himself to buy me the DVD (why oh why?). More's the pity.

I never walked out on a film when actually at the cinema, but i never made it to the end of films, like Lost in Translation, i see it on sky and tv all the time and i like it... but some reason, i can not make it to the end. Empire Records is another one though that i don't like very much.
But never not watched a dvd or cinema film all way through no matter how bad they are.

I've never walked out of a film as I'm a cheapskate and think "Hey, it cost me like a tenner to get in here ffs, i'm getting my money's worth."
Did leave halfway through Terminator 3 to go have a quickie in the staff room. Came back though, so don't know if that counts...

I've never walked out of one. There might have been one or two DVD ones I've never watched all the way through but it doesnt happen very often.
High Fidelity - but I love it now I'm older.

AI. Was just bored shitless.
I would have walked out of Dreamgirls too. I was desperate to, but I was with my mum and although she hated it too, she wanted to stay till the end and since she paid, I would have felt bad.

Yep totally agree.
I've never walked out of a film, I'll at least watch it all the way through and give it a chance.

Catch Me If You Can.
Me and my mate were bored out of our minds. And growing rapidly impatient. So we went shopping instead haha.

I've walked out, but only because what I was seeing was freaking me out too much
For example, I left Jumanji when I was 10. 10 years later I watched it on TV and thought it was great :D
