A.K.A. John Inman, alas no more. Apart from his camper than camp portrayal of Mr Humpries in Are You Being Served ?, he had a wide ranging and varied theatre and TV career as well as playing in over 40 pantos, usually as the dame. Once voted TV's funniest man and BBC's TV personality of the year being one of the, if not the, main character in a show that regulary pulled in 22 million viewers.
