further to my post about virgin broadband.... i know this question has been asked so many times but i need to work out which broadband to go with
i am so confused with all the isps and all their deals, i just have no idea who to choose :s i have searched so many places on the internet, read lots of forums and I am no closer to deciding who i should choose.
in the past i was with wanadoo and they were TERRIBLE. then i was with Demon and i have to say they were good, never had a problem. I left them to move into a new place which had NTL phone/net/tv bundle - its a good price for all 3 but we did have quite a few internet problems (constantly disconnecting) and customer service was rubbish.
now, i am moving house again and have to get a new contract (NTL refuses to change the package we have over into my name without starting a new contract even if we did want to stay with them). with all the options of phone, tv, and net available i am just confused.
I need internet to be reasonably fast (have coped with 2mb most of the time but faster is always nice) and i need a pretty big download limit - i dont know how much exactly but i download maybe 10 songs a month, surf the internet for a couple of hours a day and I play online game a couple of hours a day (always inthe evening and weekend). I dont mind connecting to BT for the phone if i have to (they have said i can have a 3month contract not 12 and no credit check since i was a customer before).
we would like to have a home phone line but are not too worried about call packages although international calls would be an advantage as we are from spain, NZ, sweden, and netherlands in our house.
we would like to continue with some kind of tv service, we dont need movies but we like livingtv, ITV2 etc.
I would prefer not to sign a 12month contract if I can get out of it as, with us all being non-english, anyone could leave the country at any time possibly.
we are moving in 10 days and would like internet asap after we move.
and all this as cheap as possible :p
so far, i have an interest in beunlimited (altho very expenisive), orange (like free wireless & the phone calls), talktalk (just for the price although they told me it would take 5-6weeks to get set up which basically makes me cross them off the list), and sky (to be honest, their tv,phone, net deal sounds excellent and a good price, but they have 12mnth contract and the reviews i have read elsewhere are really not good)
any help would be greatly appreciated!! :)
