Need to remove lilo bootloader and replace with the old Windows one but when trying to get in to Windows Recovery Console it tells me that I have no disk present.

That's strange, it should find the partition.
If you still have the distro on the drive, or otherwise if you load a live CD, can you see the NTFS partition correctly?

Ah, didn't actually realise my laptop has a SATA disk, thats why the RC cannot see my disk, need to find the drivers for it to work.

Owch. :P
Recovery console is crap at best. Try ERD Commander, it's l33t. It's a full XP running of a CD, with a whole suite of apps to repair disks and manage the system.

I just have the ultimate boot cd packed away if anything ever goes wrong. :thumb:

ERD Commander looks good, for $1410.00 it should be!!
I'll just have to create a virtual floppy drive, write the files to the vFDD and then put them on to CD.
