replacement soles

How much does it cost to get soles replaced?

I just noticed one of my shoes I got in the USA have split on one foot...

Only noticed it cos I was cleaning the mud off the bottom, howver to be honest they probably feel a lot more comfy ...cos they flex now .. :p

I usually get the ones you stick on yourself from boots, a few quid I think.

At a decent cobbler, less than a tenner. It cost me £7 to have my work shoes re-soled.

Those stick on ones are rubbish. My Dad's tried mending my shoes with them before and they've come off within days/weeks. Go to a cobblers. I've never found one as cheap as Kermit though, it's always cost me about £20 to have my boots resoled/reheeled etc.
