View Full Version : Cheap knickers...

Ok so, for some reason which defies logic, my dad has said that he wants me to buy my stepmum knickers for Christmas. My budget is a fiver. I told him this, and he said knickers (then again he also told me he wanted a book which was over a tenner, and that he wanted me to get my almost-5 year old sister a Barbie (and the only one I found under a fiver was a rubbish one, but that's his fault, not mine)).
Can anyone tell me where I can get some NICE knickers from for under a fiver? Can't be a thong, cause having been underwear shopping with her before, I know she doesn't wear them, but everything else is fine. I was thinking Peacocks, but that seems SO cheap, and there isn't a Primark nearer to me than Ipswich, which is gonna cost me more than a fiver to get to in the first place, defeating the object. I don't know >.<.
Help!

TK Maxx definitely - they do fab designer underwear in there. I got a Calvin Klein bra and knicker set for a fiver a few weeks ago. And 2 Pringle bras for less than a tenner.

I don't know. I was just pointing out that before anyone suggested Primark it's not an option.
I don't have anything against Peacocks, cause their underwear is quite good for the price it is, but I'd feel cheap going there :(.
TK Maxx is a good plan though...

It'd be ok if it was my mum. She buys us pants every year usually (not this year, we're all skint). Embarrassing skimpy see through ones.
But it's my stepmum. It's like :eek2:.

I know.
I'm tempted to get her something else entirely.

la senza?
I know they do 5 pairs for £12 so one pair on their own can't be that much.

That's the best plan :thumb: My stepmum would be horrified if I bought her knickers for Christmas! I'm pretty sure my Dad would be too. Ugh, shuddering at the thought

I don't think she'd mind too much (this is the lady that said she'd buy me a vibrator if my dad would allow it), but it's just the thought of it is like >.<

I've decided on a Christmas Gospel songs CD :o.
Although having looked on the La Senza website, that's gonna be my next stop for my underwear XD.

La Senza is great for cheap nice undies
The 5 for £12 range is cool.

It's weird but if you were buying a nice matching bra and pants underwear set it would be fine but a pair of knickers is odd!

Top shop are doing 4 pairs for £8 at the minute, so you could get a couple of pairs from there, they have all sorts, french knickers, pants, breifs, thongs, boxers etc in all sorts of designs frills and patterns. I get all mine from there anyway :thumb:

My boyfriends mum (who calls herself my 'mother-in-law') often requests underwear from me as presents.

Take the CD back, get yourself to George at Asda. There is a chance you could get her a bra and knickers set for about £6 if you are lucky.
They have LURVELY knickers in there.
