I'm off on holiday in a week and want to get some books to read.

I don't want anything too heavy or intellectual but equally I'm not into super trashy chick lit.

I do like Emily Barr but I've read all her books..I also like Nikki French thrillers.

Anyone got any ideas?

The Da Vinci code :o

Just kidding, briggi

How about Star of the Sea, by Joseph O'Connor? Then you can join in the book club chat when you get back :D It's fantastic, btw.

Or The Red Tent by Anita Diamant, which I evangelise to every woman I meet

Oh one of my friends has been raving about star of the sea for ages. may try it out. cheers

:impissed:

Alias Grace and/or Lady Oracle - Margaret Atwood
Case Histories and/or Human Croquet - Kate Atkinson

Everytime I go on holiday I take my copy of The Unexpurgated Code: A Complete Manual of Survival and Manners by J.P Donleavy. How I laugh! :D
