how do you make french toast?
the crispy kind that you have with fried breakfast

3-4 eggs, about 1/4 cup of milk, cinnamon, a hint of nutmeg
whisk
dip bread on both sides
put on non-stick griddle (so you don't have to use any fatty butters or anything)
flip
put on desired toppings.
makes about 6 slices of bread

We call it eggy bread in this country.
Isn't french toast slightly different to eggy bread? I always thought french toast was crispy (like a fried slice?) whereas isn't eggy bread softer?

I think you have to toast some bread then cut it through the middle to make it like 2 really thin slices. Cut into triangles...then grill it on the un cooked side to make it curl....thats what i thought it was.
...but ive just done a load of google searches and the majority seem correct :eek2:

I put maple syrup and a bit of butyter on it. Like a breakfast thing.

I had always assumed french toast was eggy bread but sweeter, with cinamon and sugar and stuff :)
