I want to buy a new hard drive

200GB is what i want 7200rpm obv.

Anyone got any suggestions for sites with good prices?

ive looked on ebuyer before you say that , just looking to compare prices, i like ebuyer so ill probably go with them if i dont see better

IDE, im not sure if this new motherboard i have supportsd SATA, ill check soon, im porobably gonna go with IDE though. are there many advantages of SATA?

Just a smaller cabel and i've heard you can have problems but not for sure on that....

Sata can sometimes be a little fiddly, you might need a sata driver disk to install windows onto the drive, but once they're up and running they're better imo.

They do tend to run a tad faster than their IDE counterparts, but the messing around with drivers isn't worth the hassle tbh.
