I thought any thing with amino acid or something will bring you down, this includes orange juice and even chewing gum can effect it i think.

Not sure if it is true, but gum does contain little amino acid, so yes chewing would alter it but very little. Its nothing compared to drinking orange juice which deffinately does affect it as i have tried it.
