What's wrong with me?

I'm 21, my boyfriend's 18 and we've been together for a year and a half. He's the man of my dreams, we have a wonderful time together and love each other loads.

So why am I worried about what he'll get up to on a drunken football/hotel weekend with his mates in a few weeks' time...?

When he was with his ex, he twice drunkenly kissed another girl, but the relationship was at the end of the road at the time and he's assured me he loves and respects me far too much to do the same to me. I know that he and his ex had very little in common and that I get along with him more than she did (I've met her, so I know...). Neither of us have felt as strongly about exes as we do each other.

I know I shouldn't worry about this, but I think it's because when I was with my ex-boyfriend he never got drunk and hardly ever socialised without me. My current boyfriend goes to football matches a lot, works in a bar and has been on holidays without me right at the start of ur relationship, all without cheating on me.

Am I just a stupid idiot?

1) how about you believe him? If you love him that much, I'd expect a little more trust.

2) Yeah, because your current boyfriend seems to have a life outside of his relationship, which is the only means of staying sane for a couple blokes (including me).

3) If he wanted to cheat on you, you couldn't avoid it anyway. Either he's faithful, or he cheats and he wouldn't let himself prevent of that, if he really wanted.

There is not reason for distrust. Even if he PLANNED to cheat on you or anything, it wouldn't change anything if he finally spends the weekend with his friends at all, because then the core is rotten anyway.

I witnessed a lot of relationships break because of distrust in my surroundings.
