How do you do your shopping?

Do you got to a supermarket and get everything there? Or do you go to the butchers for meat, greengrocers for fruit & veg etc?

I always used to get everything in Tesco but over the last few months I've been thoroughly fed up with the quality of their meat, it was going off after a few days and just generally wasnt very tasty. So now I go to the butchers and get my stuff and then everything else in Tesco, it's a tad more expensive but much much nicer and the butcher always recommends me recipes and new things.

We have a fantastic market here that's open 6 days a week, so there for lovely bread, fruit and veg, meat and fish as far as possible. There's a good greengrocers here too. Tesco otherwise.

I try to get all my fruit and veg at the Farmer's market. Everything else I get in a supermarket. I used to live around the corner from an excellent butcher, I don't anymore :crying: so when I buy meat in the supermarkets, I go for the cheaper cuts on the bone as there's more flavour.

I would love to be able to go to a butchers to get all my meat - especially as our local butchers is amazingly good - its all organic and lovley - however becuase i work the only time I can buy stuff from him is on a saturday - which is not normally when I do my shopping so I only tend to get meat from him when I have a dinner party. Otherwise its an afterwork or last thing on a sunday dash round the supermarket.

There is a fruit & Veg stall near the tube which i should buy more stuff from as its really cheap but 70% of the time its also not as good as what you get in the supermarket.

both.
I do a tescos online shop every few weeks, but certain stuff i go to little independent shops for. Got a couple of great delis round here, one that only does free range meat, antoher one that just the most amazing obscure stuff and a HUGE range of different cheeses from all over europe. I like to buy my fruit and veg from marks and spencers though. The stuff from the market here goes manky if I dont eat it within a couple of days, otherwise I would buy it from there more often.

Usually get bread and stuff like that from Tescos, then we get our meat from the local farm shop.

Fresh veg, fruit, meat, dairy, eggs and honey we generally buy at the village farm shop, though we'll sometimes buy meat from Waitrose.
Bread from the village bakery. You can buy a lot of meat and cheese from farmers down our local pub too. They do a meat raffle every weekend.
We get the more exotic veg, fruit and spices at International in St Marys Southampton.

Everything else we buy from any old supermarket. Our local happy shopper type store is crap

There's only one decent farmers market around here, well it's not even around here it's about 30 miles away that I like to go to, except it's only on once a month and I can never get to it early enough and all the nice stuff gets snapped up.

You dont get many markets round here, it's a bit rubbish.

And I've just been to Tesco this afternoon and as usual, the stuff was pretty poor so it's off to the butchers tomorrow.

I love food shopping as well. Its the one thing id probably bankrupt myself on given half a chance. Im such a foodie.
I save a lot by online shopping as I am not tempted by every bloody thing I see, although im negating that saving lately at the local delis.

Neither. I get stuff at various places depending on what shops are nearest or where I'll be passing by that day. But those various places are almost all supermarkets.
