Poo :( torrent / .rar annoyance (help?)

I lost my XP CD :( so tried to download another one. Finished downloading, it came in 41 .rar volumes. So, start unpacking. Then what?

Looks like I have no choice but to re-download a different torrent. This one though, had all the parts packed inside a rar, and had 700 or so seeders and a couple of thousand peers. All for a dodgy file. :(

Unless anyone knows a fix?

Windows XP Borg Edition V 5.0

This is it....the last edition until vista is released.......

I have used Winrar to compress this edition.....Uncompress it ONLY ONCE! The iso is inside....
Go to blahblahblah for support but, READ ME FIRST!
This compilation DVD will install windows automatically after you tell it where to install to. DO NOT upgrade....DO NOT install over another windows install.


!!!!!!!!!!!YOU MUST FORMAT AND DO A FRESH INSTALL!!!!!!!!!

Upon initiating a fresh, clean install, windows will not ask for a serial, or activation, or registration! If it does...your doing it wrong! SEE Above!
After windows completes installation and after first reboot, the WPI Borg menu will appear for 120 seconds for you to choose your own programs.
When you click the install button, everything you selected will be silently installed - no user interaction is required.
If you do not click anywhere on the menu screen before 120 seconds has elapsed, a default selection of about 30 apps will install automatically.
The serial and cracks folder has been updated as well so, if your chosen app is not " cracked" then go there and get the appropriate can opener.
Any cracks with an NFO file - use the notepad and READ IT! Any cracksserials that I missed......Humor me - go and find them yourself!

If you get blue screen or freezes - then you may not be able to use this DVD....I tried to make it as compatible as possible
for as many machines as I could but, I can't include drivers for every configuration or I would not have any space left for any apps!
There are over 10,000 drivers or more for various manufacturers out there so I expect a few problems in that area.....Every other Borg edition worked quite well
for the magority of people but........I don't appreciate whiners whose comps fall through the cracks - live with it!

What I'd like to know is ... is it Kosher when you have a Laptop (that comes with windows XP Home already installed but no actual Windows CD) to use someone else's copy and reinstall it (removing al the crap that comes on most laptop's like AOL, etc) and just put the CD Key on the bottom of the laptop?

These days I've noticed some laptops, including mine don't even come with a rescue CD anymore but a rescue partition on the hard drive - sucking up valueable space.

tried using winrar and selecting the keep broken files option? will still unrar it all and should work unless its a dodgy torrent

i tried that koe and it couldn't burn the files, said they were invalid.

Downloaded a new one, rebooted the computer, it's fucking japanese!!

Onto the third now then... just another 10 hours to go or so. Really annoyed. The irony is, I actually own legal copies of windows XP, I just have no idea where they are :confused:

Heh, it's quite entertaining. All set up now, my computer is so fast!! But windows is throwing a fit. I tried to install graphics drivers, said it needed the net framework. Tried to install the net framework, said it needed the windows installer. Tried to install that, said I needed to install WGA crap :no:

Wow. There's absolutely no way I would download my OS as a .RAR file that some random has put together. No wonder so many machines are hacked to fuck these days.

Get someone you know to provide you a copy if you lose the cd.
